“Podcasts are essentially audio Netflix.” says Jordan Harbinger. So why not binge listen to a podcast?
For those who want a quick brief on what is a podcast, I’ll drive you swiftly through it. Podcasts are digital audio pieces available on the internet where the listener can subscribe to the respective podcast channel to get updates on episodes. Podcasts can be daily, weekly, every fortnight, monthly, etc. Podcasts revolve around an immense number of brackets from motivational, romance, health, informational, etc.
How do Podcasts sway your moods/emotions?
A study by a neuroscientist from UC Berkeley showed that the narrative stories have an expeditious impact on your brain cells, lightening up your brain and showing increased function proving that podcasts are like the rejuvenators for the human brain. Podcast delves into many moods/emotions and lightens up our spirits.
As the gnome goes Laughter is the best medicine, comedy podcasts can be one of your pills to get over your blues. On a gloomy day, you can just put on your headphones and listen to some entertaining or comedy podcasts like “Andar ki Baat” by Amit Tandon, “The Overthink Tank” by Surbhi Bagga, “Our Last Week” by Anuvab & Kunaal, raunchy comic ones like “Simmy Said Whatt?!” by Simmy Goraya and many more.
Meditation Podcasts can help you at times when you are exasperating or in that “overwhelming” phase by lowering down the temper. The tranquilizing, calm musicals can trigger your brain to release oxytocin which is meant to reduce stress and angst. If you’re confused about which meditation podcast to listen to, here are a few of my recommendations:
The Mindful Minute Podcast by Meryl Arnet, I should be Meditating by Alan Klima, Ten Percent Happier by Dan Harris, and many more.
When you are crushing over someone or you have that “love at first sight”, podcasts like ‘Modern Love’ by Miya and Daniel, ‘Dear Sugars’ by Cheryl and Steve Almond and many more will create a spark and that adrenaline rush in a way making you more passionate and contented.
Podcasts like Love Aaj Kal by Aastha and Ankit, Where should we begin by Esther Perel, Break up Boost by Trina Lekie will give you all required answers to your questions during a heart break. These will heal your heart and bring a smile on your face.
Likewise, there are podcasts to serve every mood/emotion of a person, and trust me podcasts do act instantly over your brain cells and can turn your mood upside down in seconds. From feeling blues to feeling on cloud nine, from losing your cool to being at peace, from heartbreak to falling head over heels, podcasts definitely can swerve your emotions or buck up your spirits!
